Born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 1974, performance dance wasn't always the primary focus of young Alin Campan.  A star athlete in both wrestling and rugby, Alin was often paired against older and often larger competitors.. most often ending on top.  At age 15 however, a devastating rugby injury nearly ended Alin's life. Thankfully it did not, but it most definitely ended his future in contact sports. Restless after recovery, he had to find somewhere to use his abundant energy. Alin visited a dance class and was intrigued.

 No prior training or even real exposure to dance, Alin didn't know how to step to a beat initially let alone dance to one, but in less than a year,  was  recruited by choreographer Franchisc Volcay who convinced the Hungarian Opera to hire him at age 16, as he should not be considered since he hadn't graduated from a performance school, so he couldn't pass it up. 

At age 18, Alin left to audition for the lead dancer position in the acclaimed Casino Victoria troupe in Bucharest.  This was an amazing opportunity.   The 450km to Bucharest was a rough trip but he didn't let that show when he more than impressed those judging the auditions.  Alin earned the top spot and spent the next 5 years as the lead in all of the Casino Victoria productions.  During this time he also taught young prodigies and choreograph and danced evenings in clubs ,which gave him great diversity.

While with Casino Victoria, Alin played a major role in the choreography and dance in Romanian music videos, concerts and fashion shows.  Feeling a plateau, Alin traveled to Italy do dance and model, then off to Vienna, Austria where, in 2005, he took 1st place to represent Austria in the European Fitness title competition where he took 7th overall.

The US was calling and Alin answered, providing his amazing dance skills to the Las Vegas  show, Fashionistas,  and modeling for major agencies .

Alin is currently active in commercial, print, runway work and competing in fitness shows across the country.
